Hidden Treasures, WHEAT Community Connections’ thrift store in Clinton, offers goods at little-to-no cost to clients in need. Cassie, a local resident recently underwent open heart surgery and needed a recliner for her recovery. WHEAT’s Hidden Treasures was able to step in, complete a referral to give Cassie a recliner for free, and even delivered it to her home. Jodi Breidel, North County Regional Director at WHEAT, said, “We are happy to help clients during very stressful and difficult times. That’s what we’re here for and it’s as simple as that.”
Cassie is glad to be on the road to recovery with the help of her new recliner and said, “Thank you again for everything! I love the mission behind your program; it has been a blessing I am so grateful for.”
