One of our favorite events of the year, the MetroWest Corporate 5K, is back on Thursday, May 16th, presented by Main Street Bank! It's a night of competition and community featuring a 5K race, team prizes, finisher medals, food, fun and beer, and we're thrilled to bring it back to Marlborough thanks to the support of local businesses. We're highlighting our three major sponsors in this set of posts. Learn all about the event and register at: uwotc.org/corp5k.

EXELA MOVERS: Medal Sponsor for the Corporate 5K

Q: Hello, Exela Movers! Tell us about your company.

A: Exela Movers is a full service moving company that provides high quality packing, moving, unpacking, and storage solutions in and around the Boston area to all over the United States. We are family owned and operated with over 10 years of experience. We pride ourselves on our professionalism and customer service.

Q: Can you also tell us why you decided to step up as a major sponsor for our 2024 MetroWest Corporate 5K?

A: We are excited to be a Medal Sponsor of the Corporate 5K this year. We strongly believe in supporting those who struggle with hunger, depression and mental health issues, and are a huge proponent of literacy and higher education. Exela Movers, based in Boston, and Exela Storage, based in Marlborough, are sister companies. Between the moving company and storage facility, it was only natural for us to start supporting the local businesses and their respective causes. Exela Movers also supports and provides moving services for the local food banks in Boston.

Q: Are you getting a team together and participating in this year's race?

A: We are! We are excited to run this year and join in on the festivities.

 ----

Q: What are your goals/expectations? Any friendly rivalries or teams you'll be trying to beat?

A: For our first year, we are just hoping to just have a great time, and meet the locals. Maybe next year, we'll strategize and start taking down the other teams one by one.

 ----

Q: What do you like about this event? Do you have any words of encouragement for individuals or any businesses or organizations that are thinking of joining in?

A: The more the merrier! We are grateful for the warm welcome, and would highly encourage others to join in. Businesses coming together to support the communities have the power to affect change.

 ----

Q: Why is United Way of Tri-County's work to feed the hungry, prevent suicide and promote early literacy important in our local communities? (We're grateful that your support helps us do this!)

A: Honestly, there is nothing more important than nourishing the mind, body and soul. We stand by this sponsorship and the good that it may bring.
